What should I bring with me to class?
A mat and water. If you don't have a mat, you can borrow one of ours. We also provide spa towels. If you are joining us for one of our heated classes you may want to bring a bigger towel. You will sweat! As far as props go, we have you covered! Blocks, straps, weights (for the core classes) and Indo Paddle Boards are provided for you!
What is the temperature of the room?
Normally our studio is set to 75 degrees. For our heated classes, we heat our studio from 90 - 95 degrees. The heat helps the body purify and detox, adds fluidity to the flow, and allows your body to open up with more ease. The heat and the movement makes you sweat!
How early should I get to class?
Please arrive 15 minutes early for your first class to fill out some paperwork, get set up in our system, and get a quick tour! After your first time, please arrive at least 10 minutes before class so that you can sign in, say hi to your friends, and get settled.
What do I wear?
We recommend comfortable and breathable clothing that you don't mind sweating in. And maybe something dry to change into after.
What is the minimum age for a child to take yoga?
The minimum age for adult classes is 12. During the Summer months, we periodically schedule special classes for children 12 and under, so keep an eye on the schedule.
What is our inclement weather policy?
We would never want to risk the well being of our staff and students when the weather gets bad, so from time to time we may need to cancel classes. We follow the closure policy of the Olathe and Blue Valley School Districts, so if they cancel classes, we will cancel our morning classes. Evening classes will be a judgment call based on the severity of the storm. Our web site is automatically updated when we make changes to it, so when the weather gets bad we recommend checking the site to see if class is still on.
