Brian Landers, ERYT 500
Brian Landers is a 500 HR RYT with Yoga Alliance and has trained 400+ HRS with Annie Carpenter in SmartFlow Yoga. He currently assists her in her 200 HR teacher training program. He has had many great teachers in Kansas City and Los Angeles: Gretchen Robinson, Mark Blanchard, Eoin Finn and Seane Corn. He is also an ACE certified personal trainer.
As a fitness devotee, Brian didn’t come to yoga for the physical practice. He came to the mat to increase his focus and awareness in an effort to go faster in a race car! After only a few practices, he realized he had embarked on a life changing experience, both physically and spiritually.
Brian’s classes are challenging and unique. While his passion is intense, he teaches with a calm and nurturing style. This combination of intensity and sensitivity is why Brian has been described as the “perfect dichotomy”. Through yoga, he enjoys giving people tools to live a more fulfilled life. He is excited to see where his yoga journey takes him.

Crystal Chaplick, ERYT 500
Crystal’s style is based on a background of Hatha Yoga with an emphasis of good alignment and fun! Crystal carefully weaves her passion for a healthy body and wellness through movement into each of her classes.
Crystal spent 20 years exploring the south before finding her way home to Kansas 4 years ago. Her background in healthcare compliments her interest in aligning the body inside and out. Crystal completed her 500 hour teacher training at the Asheville Yoga Center in Asheville, NC. Her favorite pose is Sirsasana (Headstand). Known to be the King of all "asana", the headstand stimulates the crown chakra where bliss resides. In this position the world is literally turned upside down, and we are afforded the opportunity to view the world from a different perspective. Inversions re-circulate blood through the body, revitalizing and rejuvenating, while increasing concentration and enhancing overall function of the vital organs.
Susan Richards, ERYT 500
Susan began teaching yoga in 2005 and has the highest level of certification with Yoga Alliance at ERYT500 and a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider, and is a certified Relax & Renew Restorative Yoga Trainer. Her purpose as a Yoga teacher is to encourage others to seek balance in their lives, awaken their inner light, and find the courage to let it shine.
Since experiencing first hand the healing capabilities of yoga in 1997, she became a dedicated student. Her yoga education has its roots in the BKS Iyengar lineage, which over the years has guided her to expand her focus towards finding a peaceful balance - blending mind, body and breath - in all aspects of life - on and off the mat.
Patricia Gray, RYT 500
Patricia is one of the pioneers of yoga in the Kansas City area. Her journey began when she found meditation as a teenager growing up in Joplin, Mo. It was her love of meditation that eventually led her to begin practicing yoga. She eventually began teaching yoga in the area when yoga teachers in KC were scarce. She was co-owner of one of the first yoga studios in town, The Yoga Gallery. Today, Patricia enjoys teaching yoga at numerous locations in the city and sharing her vast knowledge of yoga, pranayama and meditation through workshops and teacher trainings.
Sami Aaron, RYT 200
As a Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance, Sami specializes in Meditation, Pranayama (yoga breathing), Yoga Nidra (yoga sleep).
Her teachings touch the heart of our inner nature and allow it to shine, even during times of stress, anxiety and the deepest grief. Sami’s study of these healing practices began after her older son’s suicide in 2003. Her workshops help others find the peace and centeredness that has gently nestled its way into her heart, as her grief has blossomed into a deep understanding of our intimate connection to everything.
Her Pranayama inspiration originated with her first teacher, Patricia Gray. She studied Pranayama with Sri O. P. Tiwari of the Kaivalyadhama Yoga Institute in Lonavla, India. She has completed the yoga teacher certification through the Yoga School of Therapeutics, with an emphasis on Pranayama & Meditation.
