Colorado Yoga Retreat

Updated: May 5, 2019

I fell in love with horses when I was in 4th grade and got my first horse named Star. Star was a Bay Quarter Horse and was sweet and gentle. Perfect for a new, young rider. I remember looking in Star's eyes and feeling a connection, almost like she knew what I was thinking and feeling. If any of you have ever spent time around horses you have probably felt the same thing. There's something special about them.

Like many kids, I eventually grew too busy to care for Star so we sold her. I often think back to my time with her and remember all of the fun we had on trail rides. I especially liked riding bareback with just her bridle. There was something freeing about running through the woods on horseback with no saddle. I felt a bit like Pocahontas.

Fast forward to my adulthood with children of my own. I wanted to share my love of horses and riding with my own children. We have taken three family vacations to the Drowsy Water Dude Ranch in Granby, Colorado. After our first vacation there, we all agreed it was the best family vacation we had ever taken, hands down.

When thinking about a fun place to do a yoga retreat that is drivable, the answer was easy! The Ranch!!

We would love to have you join us for yoga, riding and hiking, September 8-13, 2019.

Giddy up!
